What good you ask?

Seeing such a thing growing right there in the middle of the forest, quite understandably, the Hatter, the Hare and Door Mouse approached it with much trepidation.  No one said a word until the March Hare, having come within reach of a low hanging branch, plucked one and announced, “Perfectly serviceable and actually quite nice".

Tea Cup Tree

It is rumored, and I believe it, that the Mad Hatter, the March Hare, and sometimes, the Door Mouse got their fresh tea cups from a wild tea cup tree.  (If you click on the pic, you can see what it says.)

One More Sketch

I have another one done, but can't put it on my blog yet because it is part of an ATC trade.  I don't want to ruin the surprise.  This one is Pam's back yard.

Not a Good Start

Back from visiting PA, CT, and RI.  Didn't get one thing done on the sketchbook.  Oh... that is not quite true.   I did this.  Don't have a clue what it is or if it is finished.  It was a day when one says to oneself, "Do something, even if it's wrong."

What Medium?

Colored pencils are not pens and whatever they are made of doesn't rub off like graphite does. So, I got out my trusty pencil box.  The pencils have changed but the box has been with me since I was 9 years old...and that's a lotta years!  The tab is of my very own making.  They don't make tape like THAT any more.  I think I'll write anything to keep from getting down to it.

INK?

I have never sketched with ink!!!  I'm trying a fixatif on an old pencil sketch.  If it works, I'll sketch in pencil.  That will take away some of the fear....I think.  Why am I afraid of a doggone sketchbook???!!!!

Sketchbook Is In

My sketchbook for the Sketchbook Project has arrived.  I wish now that I had requested that it be digitized; but since I didn't, I'll have this blog to show off...or not.  I cannot take credit for thinking of doing a blog -- my niece did it first.  Of course her blog is very funny and I seem to have lost my sense of humor.  Not only that, but my creativity has been gone for a few days.  Wherever it went, I hope it doesn't plan on staying long.  A few days fine; but I sure hope it hasn't gone on sabbatical or something. It WILL come back and this IS going to be fun.
